Funded FY23/24

Birchal is proud to present the fifth edition of Funded! The Crowd-Sourced Funding (CSF) industry report for FY24. This report tracks activity in the Australian CSF industry, and is based on data gathered by Birchal as well as publicly available information gathered online. Analysis in this report is current as of 30 June 2024.

Early-stage businesses have now raised over $315 million across 427 successful CSF offers through the CSF regime since it commenced in 2018.

Despite tough macroeconomic conditions and broader market downturns, FY24 delivered stable funding volumes, with 99 successful CSF offers completed and a total of $64.5 million raised from 35,000 investments. This reflects a 16% growth in the number of companies using equity crowdfunding in Australia compared to FY23 and signals a growing confidence in the CSF funding model.

As a community platform we are committed to staying at the forefront of the industry and these voices help paint a fascinating picture of what's to come for CSF in Australia.
