Overview

Tech-enabled reuse infrastructure for live sport and events

WOSUP (War On Single Use Plastic) is an Australian reuse technology company on a mission to end the era of throwaway cups — and replace them with smart, scalable reuse systems that connect fans, venues, and brands. Globally, more than 500 billion single-use cups are used each year. In Australia alone, 910 million cold beverage cups are discarded annually — mostly at stadiums, festivals and large venues. These cups are used for minutes, then dumped into landfill or oceans. WOSUP was established to solve this problem at scale by building a tech-enabled reuse ecosystem designed for the high-volume, high-pressure world of live sport and entertainment. We are not a cup supplier. We are a systems company replacing waste with data, impact and engagement.

Our platform integrates durable reusable cups, streamlined venue operations, fan-facing digital engagement and live impact tracking — all in one seamless solution. With a single scan, a WOSUP cup unlocks verified environmental data, real-time return rates, fan rewards, and sponsor activations. It’s not just a better cup — it’s infrastructure for a circular future. Since launching in 2022, WOSUP has grown from pilot trials into large-scale commercial deployment across major Australian venues. We’ve worked with partners like Red Bull, Rugby Australia, Sydney Showgrounds, Lion and Mirvac proving that fans will embrace reuse when the experience is smart, seamless and rewarding. Independent third-party research confirms strong patron acceptance, with high product satisfaction and broad support for permanent adoption of our model.

After more than five years of industry advocacy and three years of live operations, WOSUP is now aligned with policy momentum, venue demand and commercial sponsorship goals. Reuse legislation is accelerating and government-owned venues in NSW will be required to trial reusables from 2026. The global shift is underway. We’ve proven the model works, at scale, and now, we’re raising funds to expand our infrastructure, deepen our technology platform, and secure long-term venue agreements as reuse transitions from trial to mainstream. Join us... and help build a smarter, cleaner and more connected future.
