Ulleo is an Australian online short course provider that helps people build practical, career-relevant skills across interior design, beauty, nutrition, mental health & counselling, animal care, photography, landscape design, and sustainability, with students across Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and Ireland. We built Ulleo because we saw a fundamental shift in how people think about education. Fewer Australians are willing to spend years in study and tens of thousands of dollars on a qualification when a focused short course can deliver job-ready skills they can apply straight away, at a fraction of the cost and time. Ulleo exists to serve that shift, with courses built by industry experts, not textbook writers, and credentialled in a way that employers and platforms actually recognise.
In two years, we have grown our active student base by 2.4x while reducing headcount by six people. We did it by embedding AI into the business’s operating core. Today, our students-per-staff ratio has improved from 57 to 195, a 3.4x efficiency gain, and with AI now deployed across all business functions, that ratio is set to improve substantially further. The business generated $2.6 million in annual revenue (management-reported, 12 months to 31 December 2025), up +27% year-on-year and +70% in the most recent six months — a period that reflects the full contribution of our B2B2C reseller partnerships. Gross margin sits at 72%.
We are raising to accelerate growth marketing, deepen our AI capabilities, expand our course library, and convert our institutional pipeline into contracted partnerships. This is speed-to-market capital, not survival capital. The engine is built. This raise fuels it.
